L&L Partners’ managing partner Rajiv Luthra has issued a notice for the dissolution of the firm’s litigation arm and chalked out a plan to reorganise its various practice areas under a one-firm structure.

As a result, the dispute resolution practice will be incorporated with the other practice areas under a single firm. The one-firm structure includes a restructured equity model, which aims to foster skills development, responsive governance and a congenial work environment.

The firm recently reconstituted its executive committee, which oversees its management and the implementation of growth strategies. Luthra will chair the committee, which includes partners Abhishek Mathur, Anshuman Mozumdar, Geeta Dhania, Karan Mitroo, Navin Syiem, Nishant Singh, and Piyush Mishra as its members.

Separately, L&L Partners has hired Krishnayan Sen, the founding partner of Verus, along with his team. Sen, who founded Verus in 2011, joins L&L as a partner and will bring his expertise to the firm’s disputes practice. His practice areas include international arbitration, corporate-commercial disputes, litigation advisory and banking litigation.

With more than 15 years of experience, Sen is a qualified advocate-on-record in the Supreme Court and has been the standing or nominated counsels for diverse statutory and government undertakings. He has advised a diverse range of clients, including multinational corporations, banks and financial institutions, and startup companies.
