K&L Gates expands tax and finance

K&L Gates has hired Roberta Chang and Eugene Yeung as partners in the firm’s tax and finance practices, respectively.

Chang joins the firm’s Shanghai office after working at Hogan Lovells as a partner and head of its China tax group. She has extensive experience handling tax advisory work, specifically advising multinational companies on cross-border tax issues in acquisitions and joint ventures, corporate restructurings, financings and dissolutions, with clients ranging from high net worth families to NGOs.

Yeung joins K&L Gates’ Hong Kong office from Pillsbury. Qualified in Hong Kong, Australia, New York, and England and Wales, Yeung focuses on aviation finance and restructuring and insolvency in Asia. He regularly acts for financial lenders, aircraft owners, airlines and ultra-high net worth individuals on a broad range of regional and local commercial transactions within the aviation sector.
