Jingtian & Gongcheng has hired four new partners — Che Li, Duan Wei, Pang Jianli and Tang Hua — across its Ningbo, Chongqing and Chengdu offices.
Che and Pang join the Ningbo office, which opened in April this year. Both were previously senior partners at the homegrown DOS Law Firm.
Specialising in the new energy, agriculture and rural sectors, Che notably provides end-to-end risk control and compliance services for projects such as phase II of the Xiangshan No. 1 Offshore Wind Farm. His clients include government bodies, leading new energy and agricultural enterprises, financial institutions, universities, and commercial management companies.
Pang brings more than a decade of practice experience, focusing on commercial litigation and arbitration, bankruptcy reorganisation, non-performing asset (NPA) disposal, and equity M&A.
He has also served as a perennial legal counsel to listed companies such as Greenland Holdings, Shanghai Construction Group and Reclaim Construction Group. Before becoming a lawyer, he held various positions at the Yinzhou District People’s Court of Ningbo, including assistant director and deputy director of the Enforcement Bureau, as well as judge.
Duan joins the Chongqing office, which opened in December last year. Prior to joining Jingtian & Gongcheng, he served as director of the criminal defence centre at Joint-Win Partners’ Chongqing branch and had earlier worked as an operational expert at the Chongqing People’s Procuratorate.
He specialises in white-collar and duty-related crimes, bringing extensive experience in criminal defence, corporate criminal compliance and civil-criminal overlapping legal services.
Tang, who will be based at the Chengdu office, brings 16 years of legal experience, including nearly a decade as a judge hearing commercial and bankruptcy cases. Prior to joining Jingtian & Gongcheng, she was a partner at East & Concord Partners’ Chengdu branch. Tang specialises in handling major, complex corporate disputes, bankruptcy reorganisations, out-of-court restructurings and financial disputes.
