The Further Encouraging and Guiding Private Capital to Establish Medical Institutions Opinions was jointly published by five ministries and commissions including the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Health on 26 November 2010 and came into force on the same date, helping to eliminate policy barriers to the development of private medical institutions.
Access to the sector
Private capital will be encouraged to run various medical institutions, including for-profit or non-profit medical institutions.
In the introduction of new medical and public health resources, priority will be given to medical institutions set up with private capital, subject to access standards.
