Han Kun Law Offices has recruited a four-member team, led by partner Leong Chuo Ming, to the firm’s Singapore office.
Previously, Leong was a partner at Withers KhattarWong, the Singapore practice of UK firm Withers. He leads the team comprising a counsel, a senior associate and an associate.
Leong, dual-qualified in Singapore and Malaysia, specialises in corporate practice, including M&A, equity capital markets, financial regulatory services and fund projects. He can advise on the new regime of variable capital corporate structures in Singapore and is familiar with regulatory developments in the fintech sector.
Han Kun established its Singapore presence in June last year with the addition of wealth management partner Yu Lan. During that time, the firm highlighted Singapore’s significance as a pivotal financial hub in the Asia-Pacific region. With an increasing number of clients relocating to Singapore to globalise their operations, the office’s inauguration aligns with market trends and client preferences.
