Grandway Law Offices has hired partner Clare Lu in the Shanghai branch and partner Li Zhiyong, who will be based at the Beijing headquarters.
Lu was a partner at Qin Li Law Firm, a former Deloitte Legal global network member.
As a tax compliance and family business governance specialist, Lu is also a certified public accountant and certified tax agent.
She currently is the deputy director of the Finance and Taxation Law Professional Committee of the All China Lawyers Association, as well as the director of the Finance and Taxation Research Association of the Shanghai Bar Association.
Li, previously a partner and director at Lascend Law Firm, brings more than 30 years of experience in investment, financing, M&A, and corporate compliance, focusing on real estate and industrial parks, ferrous metallurgy, and mining.
He also serves as an adjunct professor and master instructor in the school of juris master at China University of Political Science and Law, as well as an executive director of a debt obligation union in the Beijing Law Society.
