Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has hired Howie Farn as a partner in its global transactions group in Hong Kong. Farn joined from Kirkland & Ellis where he was a capital markets partner focusing on US securities transactions. He was previously a counsel at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in Hong Kong.
Dual qualified in Hong Kong and New York, Fern focuses on capital markets transactions. He has advised clients on Rule 144A/Regulation S offerings of equity and debt securities and listings in New York, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Singapore, London and Vienna for companies based in mainland China and Taiwan operating in various industries.
He also advises companies in their pre-IPO and post-IPO financings and investments in addition to various general corporate and regulatory matters related to US securities law.
