Four partners have resigned from FoxMandal Little to start SRGR Law Offices. Former infrastructure partner Ravi Bishnoi, corporate partner Rajan Gupta, real estate partner Saroj Jha and litigation partner Gaurav Bhatia launched the firm on 1 December.
“There were many reasons to launch SRGR Law Offices, similar to any other spin-out that happens in other firms or industry,” Bishnoi told India Business Law Journal. “However, the primary reason was the partners’ belief that the time had come when all the years of hard work and experience would materialize into something very exciting and rewarding.
“Another important reason is the way in which the market is shaping up. Clients need quality legal services and there is a lot of scope with the way the economy is looking up. We feel that the next few years for legal services will be similar to the early 1990s when the Indian economy was undergoing liberalization.”
