With the Indian economy slated to grow at 7% in the current financial year and with a vision of a US$5 trillion economy by 2030, the business landscape in India looks promising, driven by consistent investment growth and consumption. The recent Union Budget outlines several key policy measures intended to support accessibility to local markets and initiatives to fast track the projected growth.

However, the Indian growth story is closely intertwined with the world economy and the related geopolitical environment. The growing investment trajectory may begin to turn with a host of global risks starting to play out, including intensifying global trade policies; the “upsurge in” nationalistic, anti-globalization sentiment; growing commodity prices; and more generally tightening of global monetary policies.

It is with this background that the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) is organising the 2nd Edition of Karnataka Legal Summit – Operating in the New Normal World Economy on 17th September 2019 in Hotel Taj MG Road, Bengaluru.
