US-based doughnut chain Dunkin’ Donuts has announced that it will set up shop in India after signing a master franchise agreement with Jubilant FoodWorks. The first restaurant is expected to open in 2012.
Partner Allwyn Noronha and senior associate Kunal Mehra at AZB & Partners advised Jubilant on the agreement. Dunkin’ Donuts was advised by its in-house counsel and an external adviser.
Dunkin’ Donuts has more than 9,700 restaurants in 31 countries including Chile, China, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines and Russia.
