Dorsey has hired Carlton Ng as of counsel at its Hong Kong office, strengthening its capabilities in capital markets and corporate compliance.

Rachel Han, Dorsey’s Hong Kong office capital markets partner and co-head of Asia capital markets, said in a press release that Ng’s arrival “enhances the depth of our Hong Kong equity capital markets practice and reinforces our ability to support clients on complex transactions”.

Ng began his career at Clifford Chance. Later, he practised for nearly a decade at the Hong Kong office of King & Wood Mallesons, where he was promoted to senior associate in 2021.

Being admitted in Hong Kong and the state of New York, he has extensive experience in the Asian city’s equity capital markets transactions. He regularly represents issuers, sponsors and underwriters in Hong Kong IPOs, covering various listing regimes, including specialist technology company listings under chapter 18C of the HKEX Listing Rules.

Ng advises listed issuers on secondary equity transactions and represents international financial investors in their investments in new economy sectors, including pre-IPO, cornerstone and private investments in public equity transactions governed by the HKEX Listing Rules. He also provides legal counsel on corporate governance and regulatory compliance to Hong Kong-listed companies.
