Corporate veil lifted to cancel lease sale


In State of Rajasthan & Ors v Gotan Limestone Khanji Udyog Pvt Ltd, the Supreme Court held that the doctrine of lifting of a corporate veil has to be applied to give effect to a law that is sought to be circumvented where a corporate entity is used to conceal a transaction which is not legally permitted.
