Offshore law firm Carey Olsen said it had added Bermuda law capabilities to its Hong Kong office with the relocation of Bermudians Henry Tucker and Kyle Masters.

The arrival of Tucker and Masters, who were both members of the dispute resolution and litigation practice at Carey Olsen Bermuda prior to heading to Hong Kong, means the Hong Kong office now boasts British Virgin Islands (BVI), Cayman Islands and Bermuda qualified lawyers.

It also follows the launch in July of Carey Olsen’s corporate practice in Hong Kong with the appointment of Michael Padarin, who specializes in the formation, operation and restructuring of private investment funds, primarily private equity and venture capital funds, and their related fund sponsor vehicles.

Tucker advises on all aspects of offshore commercial and trust litigation with a specific focus on arbitration, enforcement and insolvency issues. Masters has extensive experience in regulatory and compliance law, internal and external risk mitigation, corporate governance and enforcement actions.

Carey Olsen Bermuda managing partner Michael Hanson added: “We have witnessed and experienced significant interest in our Bermuda services from Hong Kong–based clients in the past year and are delighted to now be able to offer this capability going forward on the ground in Hong Kong.”
