Lalit Bhasin, the re-elected president of the Bar Association of India, said he will focus on looking into and rationalizing obsolete laws. “Parliament, executive and judiciary must make efforts to bring [these laws] in tune with present day reality,” said Bhasin, whose term ends in 2020.
Representatives from all states voted to re-elect Bhasin, who is also the managing partner of Bhasin & Co and president of the Society of Indian Law Firms.
