The IP head of the technology, media and telecommunications practice at Malaysian law firm Gan Partnership, Bahari Yeow, has joined its rival Rosli Dahlan Saravana Partnership (RDS) as a partner to lead the same practice.
Yeow brought along partner Lim Zhi Jian and a team of lawyers to RDS and will be based in Kuala Lumpur.
Having more than 20 years of experience in IP law and general litigation, Yeow is a patent agent, trademark agent and industrial design agent, and has represented owners of well-known brands, characters and trademarks.
Apart from IP matters, he also has extensive experience in dispute resolution in land law, companies insolvency and banking litigation.
Yeow and Lim were partners at Malaysian firm Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill for 10 years, before moving as partners to Gan Partnership in mid-2020.
With the new addition, RDS now has two consultants and 16 partners, and the firm is expecting to admit more partners next year.
