The International Women’s Day theme of inclusion is the inspiration behind the Association of Corporate Council Hong Kong (ACCHK) and the BakerWomen Committee’s panel discussion to be held on 23 May 2024 at One Taikoo Place in Quarry Bay.

The panel discussion, entitled “Inspiring Inclusion in the Boardroom”, will be held at Baker McKenzie and focuses on improving gender inclusivity in leadership and boardrooms across Asia.

Despite the global uptick in boardroom diversity, Asia’s progress remains lacklustre, particularly in women’s representation. This gathering is set against the backdrop of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange’s recent policy reform mandating gender-diverse board appointments by the end of 2024 – a move poised to catalyse gender inclusivity in corporate Asia.

Registration for the event starts at 6.30pm, and speakers – include Sophia Yap, co-owner and chief legal officer at HKBN Group; Gill Meller, legal and governance director at MTR Corporation; and Ajay Manissery Konchery, group head of diversity and inclusion at Swire – will share their insights on nurturing an inclusive corporate environment.

The ACCHK invites members and non-members alike to join, learn and support workplace inclusion. Contact eventshk@accglobal.com for more details.
