IndusLaw and S&T Law have advised on CJ Logistics Corporation’s acquisition of an additional stake in CJ Darcl Logistics for an undisclosed amount.

The transaction involved both a subscription to convertible instruments and secondary purchases from multiple shareholders, enabling CJ Logistics to secure a controlling interest in the Indian company that began as a family business in 1975 with a truck moving goods between Delhi and Assam. This strategic acquisition marks a key milestone for CJ, a leading global logistics provider, in expanding its footprint and enhancing operational control within the Indian market.

IndusLaw worked on deal structuring, regulatory compliance and escrow arrangements. Partners Saurav Kumar, Swathi Sreenath, Mayank Mishra and Lokesh Shah led the transaction team. Principal associates Neha Balodhi and Gaurav Goyal, senior associate Parag Rai, and associates Suyash Bajpai, Ekjot Dang and Aarya Jha provided assistance.

S&T Law advised CJ Darcl Logistics, which today offers a full range of transport services from trucks to shipping and air cargo after four decades of growth. It also has subsidiaries in Nepal and Korea.
