Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co (SAM) has rewarded 22 members, including 14 women, with promotions as partners and counsel.
In the Delhi office, the following have been promoted as partners: Aayush Nagpal (tax); Ankita Kumar (infrastructure, energy and project finance); Apurva Zutshi, Akshay Sachthey and Roma Das (general corporate practice); Atreyee Sarkar and Supritha Prodaturi (competition law); and Suruchi Kumar (general corporate – employment law). Vishal Nijhawan has been appointed as partner-designate in the general corporate compliance and regulatory practice.
In the Mumbai branch, SAM has promoted the following to partnership: Atika Vaz, Niyati Gandhi and Shreya Jain (dispute resolution); Dhananjai Charan (banking and finance); Hardik Thakker and Meghna Nachappa (general corporate); and Priya Awasthi (capital markets).
The following dispute resolution team members have been appointed counsel: Amee Rana, Avlokita Rajvi and Juhi Gupta (Delhi) and Rishabh Jaisani (Mumbai). In Delhi, Trishita Dasgupta has been promoted as counsel in the capital markets team and Ankit Goel will now serve as general corporate counsel.
