Latham & Watkins and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer have assisted on a SGD1.75 billion (USD1.3 billion) investment by a KKR-led consortium, including Singtel, into ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) in the largest digital infrastructure investment in Southeast Asia this year to date.
Singapore partner Sharon Lau led the Latham & Watkins’ legal team advising STT GDC. Freshfields advised the global investment firm KKR (through its Asia-Pacific Infrastructure Investors II Fund) and Singtel. Singapore partners Nigel Gleeson and Simon Weller led the advisory team.
STT GDC, headquartered in Singapore, is one of the world’s fastest growing data centre providers, offering critical services including high-quality colocation connectivity. It has 95 data centres in 11 geographies. Singtel is Singapore’s principal fixed-line operator and one of the four major mobile network operators.
