Nishimura & Asahi has hired Tetsuo Kabe, former commissioner of the National Tax Agency and top government finance official, as of counsel in Tokyo. Previously, Kabe held various positions in the government, including counsellor of the Embassy of Japan in the US and director-general of the financial bureau.
