Introduction

Ada Zou specialises in corporate, M&A, financial regulation and compliance. She advises international corporations, financial institutions and private equity firms on their investments and activities in China, especially on their M&A transactions in the financial sector, including the acquisition and disposal of equity interests in financial institutions such as commercial banks, trust corporations, retail fund managers, security firms and consumer finance companies. She advises on the equity financing of fintech companies and advises PRC SOEs and private enterprises on their cross-border investments. In addition, Zou provides regular advice on the Chinese financial market to multiple leading international financial institutions, including advice on market access, codes of conduct, and compliance. The clients she has assisted include Ant Financial, HKEX, the Development Bank of Singapore, Warburg Pincus, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, Central Huijin and the China Merchants Group.
