Corporate lawyer Maythawee Sarathai has joined Thai law firm Siam Premier as a partner in Bangkok. He was most recently a partner at Hunton Andrews Kurth and had been a long-standing partner at Mayer Brown in Bangkok from 1997 until the office was closed in late 2020.
Sarathai brings more than 25 years of experience in complex restructuring, foreign investment and cross-border M&A to the firm, as well as boosting the total number of partners to 16.
Having a strong reputation in the Thai market, Sarathai specialises in distressed debt matters and provides strategic advice in relation to settlement, recovery and enforcement strategies, and business and asset reorganisation. He advises on all aspects of foreign investment in Thailand and has acted for local and international clients across a broad range of markets and sectors for distressed asset sales and purchases.
