Mishcon de Reya has beefed up its transactional team in Singapore with the addition of aviation lawyer Ethan Tan as a partner. Tan joined from Reed Smith in Singapore, where he was an of counsel.
Tan advises major airlines, lessors, banks and investors in aviation transactions in the Asia-Pacific. His expertise extends from aviation finance to all varieties of aviation-related work, including operating leases, finance leases, commercial lending, export credit agency-backed lending, aircraft secured bonds, aircraft trading and commercial disputes.
This addition will bring the firm’s offering to cover a broader transportation finance group, including the prevailing maritime practice.
Apart from aviation-related works, Tan also advises clients on derivatives and structured products, as well as assisting global investment banks, private banks, regional banks, funds and other financial institutions on large, multijurisdictional documentation and regulatory compliance projects.
