Simmons & Simmons advised Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation, a 100% subsidiary of Toshiba Corporation, on the sale of the entire stake of Toshiba Transmission & Distribution Europe (TTDE) to a listed private equity holding company headquartered in Munich, Mutares SE & Co.
The transaction involved more than 10 jurisdictions and closed on 21 February 2022, assisted by Simmons & Simmons team in Tokyo, Milan and Paris. The team advised Toshiba on its disposal of a major subsidiary in Italy with businesses in North Africa and Eastern Europe.
