Slaughter and May advised Hong Kong’s MTR Corporation on the USD10 billion Sha Tin-Central Link, the largest infrastructure investment in Hong Kong. Slaughter and May’s team in Hong Kong was led by partner Jason Webber assisted by associate Kevin Tso.

The project connects a rail line that spans 46km through 16 stations and connects the northeastern New Territories, central Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. The project will reduce traffic congestion and provide passengers using the line with a direct route to Hong Kong Island without changing trains.

The Sha Tin-Central Link is part of a megaproject that includes the Tuen Ma Line, which connects the Ma On Shan Line to the West Rail Line via East Kowloon, and the expansion of the East Rail Line from Admiralty to Hung Hom.
