Salans, FMC and SNR Denton combine forces to go global for Chinese clients

Salans, Fraser Milner Casgrain (FMC) and SNR Denton plan to combine to form the world’s seventh-largest international law firm under the brand name DENTONS, with the aim of expanding with their Chinese clients into overseas markets.

SNR Denton’s global chief executive Elliott Portnoy told China Business Law Journal one of the biggest impacts this combination brings in China is “[the] ability to offer a fully integrated China outbound service into key Western and emerging markets”.

“We were able to support China outbound projects to the UK, the US, the Middle East and Africa before,” he said. “Now we can also add Central and Eastern Europe, the CIS [Commonwealth of Independent States] and Canada to our offering.
