Norton Rose Fulbright (NRF) has acted on a USD145 million financing deal for BW Batangas, a floating storage regasification unit in the Philippines.

The NRF Singapore team advised the lenders led by Standard Chartered Bank with Bank of America, Clifford Capital and DBS Bank.

BW Batangas, owned by BW Group, is set to deploy a floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) in the Philippines that will contribute to the country’s energy security.

Partner Sue Ann Gan led the team, including senior consultant Robert Driver, associate Zara Ann Loh and trainee Joshua Vardanega. “This transaction demonstrates opportunities in the transition to a sustainable and resilient future. BW Batangas will play a key role in further developing and securing the Philippines’ energy supply. Norton Rose Fulbright was able to provide legal and commercial advice, which highlights our market leading practice in the finance sector,” Gan said.
