Dentons Hong Kong has strengthened its finance practice in the city with the addition of local banking industry veteran Nicholas Chua, who joins from CIMB Bank.
Chua started his career in 2005 at Dutch bank ABN AMRO as regional counsel, then moved to the Royal Bank of Scotland from 2009 to 2012 as head of legal before joining CIMB where he held the post as head of legal for North Asia for more than 11 years. Prior to moving to in-house roles, he was an associate at White & Case and Baker McKenzie for more than seven years.
With more than 20 years of experience, Chua specialises in banking and capital markets, and will contribute to Denton’s dispute resolution, corporate finance and regulatory work.
