Neepa Real Estate has acquired 18 acres of prime land in Mumbai from Borosil Glass Works for Rs8.3 billion (US$182 million). The purchase of the plot in Mumbai’s Andheri suburb exceeds two headline deals signed in Mumbai earlier this year – the Wadhwa Group’s Rs5.71 billion purchase of the 18-acre Ghatkopar plot from Hindustan Composites in January and Sheth Developers buyout of the 14-acre Golden Tobacco property in Vile Parle for Rs5.91 billion in February.
