JSA has counselled Edelweiss Alternatives on its Rental Yield Plus Fund acquiring MMTP Projects from the MFAR group for INR15 billion (USD180 million).

Joint managing partner Vivek K Chandy, partner Ajay G Prasad and senior associate Soham Roy led the JSA transaction team, with the assistance of various practice groups. Partner Karthik BM and Chandy led the real estate team, partner Megha Arora led the power and regulatory team, partner Anjana Potti led the banking and finance team and partner Preetha S led the due diligence team.

The teams advised on all aspects of the acquisition, including due diligence, regulatory advice, structuring, as well as drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and support during closure of the deal.

Edelweiss is one of India’s largest alternative investment platforms. MMTP owns and operates 1.1 million square feet of leasable area within the Manyata Tech Park in Bengaluru.

The acquisition aligns with Edelweiss’ strategy of building a portfolio of high-quality grade A/A-plus office assets in key commercial markets across major cities.
