ICCA hosts popular Bengaluru meeting

The Indian Corporate Counsel Association held its Bengaluru In-House Counsel Meet on 29 May at the Ritz-Carlton, Bengaluru. The interactive programme was attended by about 45 general counsel and senior in-house counsel from companies including Britannia Industries, Harma, Zoomcar, Zuri group, IQVIA, Comviva, Ola, Cisco, Swiggy, DBOI services, Ather energy, Himalaya Wellness, and Accenture.

The morning consisted of a session with five panelists entitled “Challenges of ensuring efficacious contracting for achieving business objectives”, followed by a presentation from Thomson Reuters solutions expert Amit Sethi entitled “TR ideas and solutions for common contracting challenges for in-house counsel”.

The afternoon consisted of three sessions, each with panels of in-house counsel and lawyers, entitled: (1) Does the responsibility of ensuring compliance lie with the legal department or the business teams – managing expectations; (2) Is the growth of the arbitration bar and growing availability of experts keeping pace with the growth of arbitration in India?; and (3) An outlook for the increase in inbound investments by 2020 – A legal standpoint.
