Introduction

Alan Cai is a partner of Jincheng Tongda & Neal (JT&N). He specialises in Litigation and Arbitration, Mergers & Acquisitions, Compliance and Regulatory. Prior to joining JT&N, Cai worked for Zhong Lun Law Firm where he was awarded the Best Dispute Resolution Case in 2018.

Cai has handled hundreds of dispute resolution and compliance cases worldwide. Among others, he represented Baoneng Group in the Vanke-Baoneng dispute with regard to 25% shares of Vanke (worth more than RMB50 billion), This is one of the leading cases in M&A and corporate control rights of listed companies in China’s capital market.

Cai is experienced in dealing with some of the most high-profile and complex cross-border commercial disputes, including representing TCL Group against Ericsson of Sweden in disputes over anti-monopoly and anti-unfair competition; representing ACE INA Holdings Inc. in disputes over corporate resolution, and representing Kangdexin Composite Material Group in disputes over the cash management of 12.2 billion RMB. Cases represented by CAI were awarded Outstanding Cases of Foreign-Related Legal Service by the Beijing Lawyers Association, Classic Cases of Belt and Road Legal Service by the Legal Daily and Deals of the Year by China Business Law Journal.
