Introduction

Liu Yuxuan is a founding partner of Tiger Partners. He graduated from Peking University Law School and has been practising law for more than 12 years. His wide-ranging legal expertise, strong practice, and passionate courtroom presentation style are widely recognised by his clients and the industry at large.

Prior to founding Tiger Partners, Liu worked as a partner at Jingtian & Gongcheng (2018-2019). Before that, Liu worked as a dispute resolution lawyer at Fangda Partners (2014-2018), King & Wood Mallesons (2012-2014), and Zhong Lun Law Firm (2009-2010).

Liu specialises in representing complex commercial litigation and arbitration cases. He has extensive experience in the field of dispute resolution, with a focus on financial investments, corporate equity and control, real estate and construction projects, as well as games, sports, media and entertainment.

Liu has extensive hands-on case experience. In 2020, he represented more than 30 complex commercial cases, including five cases worth more than RMB100 million, and a dozen cases worth more than RMB50 million.

For cases pertaining to financial investment, Liu has provided post-investment dispute resolution legal services for several well-known domestic institutions, maintaining a high success rate. In the field of corporate control, he successfully helped the controller of a leading battery company in China in obtaining a series of successful judgments, which secured the control of the client over the company. In the field of construction, he was entrusted by a well known domestic energy enterprise with the task of handling two complex construction cases, which involved a diverse subject matter and complex legal relationships. In the field of administrative litigation, Liu was entrusted to provide legal services for a listed company’s production subsidiary, and successfully exempted the client from paying tens of millions of renminbi in administrative penalties.

Based on his consistent outstanding performance in the field of dispute resolution, Liu was awarded the title of “Notable Practitioner” in the field of dispute resolution by Asia Law for 2020 and 2021, and was featured by Asian Legal Business as “An Up-and-Comer in Dispute Resolution”.
