Introduction

Zhong Xiangchun’s main practice areas are financial asset management, family wealth management, dispute resolution (litigation and arbitration), corporate and M&A, project investment and financing, disposal of non-performing assets and other civil and commercial areas.

Zhong received a bachelor of laws degree from the China University of Political Science and Law and his master of law and doctor of law degrees from Tsinghua University. He has profound professional skills and a deep understanding of the products and businesses of various financial institutions. He is familiar with financial regulations and the real needs of enterprises, familiar with industry knowledge and transaction practices, and often plays a key role in negotiations and important commercial transactions. Zhong has presided over the transactions of innovative financial asset management business worth hundreds of billions in RMB. He also represented many major cases in the fields of asset management and wealth inheritance.

Zhong attaches importance to study and research, focusing on legal theory and practice in the field of asset management for many years. He frequently participates in financial legislation consultation, research and discussion, publishing several academic papers on financial law, authoring a book entitled Study on the Duty of Care of Trustees of Business Trusts in China; participating in the compiling of The Way of Family Wealth Management – Systematic Planning under Target Management and the China Trust Industry Development Report.

As an attorney, Zhong represented a number of civil and commercial cases in the Supreme People’s Court and several high people’s courts, with disputes covering various areas such as investor rights and interest protection, trustee due diligence management, financial assets liquidation and trademark infringement. As an arbitrator, he has heard and ruled on a number of financial, investment and financing disputes.

Zhong was ranked as one of the “IFLR1000 2022 Highly Recommended Lawyers” and was ranked in “The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2023 Edition – Financial Law: Recommended Lawyers”.
