Introduction

Gao Meili has been at Dentons since 2003. At present, she is a senior partner and the director of the bankruptcy reorganisation and liquidation professional group at Dentons’ headquarters in Beijing. She also serves as a director on Dentons China’s board of directors, and is a member of the Beijing Youth Federation and the Dongcheng District Youth Federation standing committee, a director of the Beijing Bankruptcy Law Society, and an author of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission’s “research topic on legal bankruptcy practice of state-owned enterprises”. She has the qualification of independent director and is the special consultant of risk management for some local governments. She was also awarded one of the 2018 Top 15 Female Lawyers in ALB China.

Gao has been engaged in bankruptcy reorganisation and debt restructuring for more than 15 years, and has rich practical experience in the field. As an in-depth researcher and senior lawyer, she provides the whole process of consulting services for bankruptcy reorganisation and debt restructuring of many large enterprises, including: The reorganisation of Sichuan Chemical (listed company); the merger-reorganisation of Shandong Tianxin Group and its affiliated companies; the bankruptcy reorganisation of Cangzhou Chemical Industry (listed company); the merger-reorganisation of Henan Zhongpin Food and affiliated companies; and the merger-reorganisation of Zouping Sanli Group and its affiliated companies.

Gao has also provided financial creditor legal advisory services for bankruptcy projects of Dandong Port Group, Shanxi Liansheng energy (Group), Northeast Special Steel Group, etc., and the projects undertaken have had far-reaching influence across the whole country.
