Introduction

Chen Jing is the leading partner of the international business team of Lantai Partners. In 2020, due to the outstanding performance in her practice area, Chen was appointed as managing director of the Hainan branch of Lantai. She specialises in international trade law, international commercial law, antitrust law and foreign investment, and is especially good at trade relief dispute settlement including antidumping and countervailing duties (AD/CVD) and safeguard investigations, WTO dispute cases, and customs law.

Since 2016, Chen has been listed as one of the Leading Individuals in International Trade/WTO by LEGALBAND for five consecutive years. In 2020, she was chosen as the First Choice For the Client – Top Female Lawyers of 2020 by LEGALBAND. Meanwhile, the international business team led by Chen was listed among the excellent law firms in the field of international trade by China Business Law Journal in 2016 and 2020.

In 2019, Chen was appointed by Zhong Rong International Trust as a dispute resolution (WTO/international trade)lawyer. She was also appointed by Beijing Foreign Studies University as external research supervisor in December 2011.

Chen has published two books and many theses related to international trade affairs. She has also contributed to several research projects organised by the Ministry of Commerce and advised the ministry on many draft regulations. For nearly 20 years of practice, Chen has acted as proxy for many Chinese industrial chambers and associations, as well as many industrial leaders in AD/CVD, safeguard measures and other investigations initiated by different countries and jurisdictions including the US, EU, Thailand, Pakistan, Turkey, Brazil, India etc., all with good results.

Chen has also acted on behalf of the central government to participate in many cases of WTO dispute settlements, and has achieved significant results. Cases she has been active on include industries such as steel, textiles, chemical products and many other types of merchandise.
