Chance Bridge Partners beefed up its Beijing and Shenzhen teams by welcoming partner Zhang Lina and global counsel Greg Harris to the capital, and partner Zhao Wenqi to the Guangdong province office.

Zhang specialises in construction and dispute resolution, with 11 years of experience as an external attorney. The former senior associate of Zhong Lun Law Firm has advised on construction projects including Universal Studios Beijing, Meituan Shanghai Science and Technology Centre, CICC’s building in Shenzhen, and CITIC Tower in Beijing.

Zhang has represented clients in dispute resolution cases surrounding delays in construction projects and agreements on cybersecurity devices.

Harris focuses on the semiconductor sector and previously worked as a senior in-house counsel at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, where he advised on cross-border investments.

The Mandarin-speaking Canadian has also worked for the mainland offices of Simmons & Simmons and Winston & Strawn, where he focused on M&A and foreign direct investment cases.

Zhao has expertise in global investment financing and M&A, and has acted as legal counsel for private equity firms, listed companies and large-scale firms such as Tencent, Sequoia Capital, JD.com, CICC and Qiming Venture Partners.

The Shenzhen partner has helped multinational companies break into the Chinese market with advice on corporate structure, entity setups and compliance matters.
