Projects expert Andrew Roche joins Baker Botts as a partner shortly after the American law firm opened a Singapore office this year with a team of energy lawyers from Ashurst.
Roche, who has been based in the city for more than a decade, was also a partner since 2021 at Ashurst.
With 20 years of experience in the Asia-Pacific, Roche focuses on financing and development of energy, natural resources and infrastructure projects, with a solid client base spanning the power, oil and gas, petrochemical, mining, and infrastructure sectors.
Roche will be the fifth partner in the Baker Botts Singapore office, with the rest specialising in projects and transactions, especially in the energy industry and energy intensive industries. Richard Guit, former Asia-Pacific head of energy and resources at Ashurst, leads the team and opened the Singapore office.
