Rajah & Tann Singapore has bolstered its intellectual property, sports and gaming practice with the appointment of Anna Toh as a partner.

Toh joins from Amica Law, a specialist IP and technology practice in Singapore, where she worked for more than 15 years and was a director.

She specialises in IP strategy, protection and portfolio management for international sports franchises and entertainment brands, negotiating licensing arrangements for pharmaceutical and foodtech companies, advising on cross-border patent disputes, and structuring software development and research collaboration agreements.

“Anna’s appointment was driven by her highly complementary skill set and the growing convergence of intellectual property, technology, AI and data protection issues. Her combination of legal and scientific training, together with her experience advising clients on IP strategy, licensing, commercialisation and cross-border matters, makes her an excellent fit for our practice and our clients,” Rajah & Tann Singapore managing partner Ng Kim Beng told Asia Business Law Journal.

Following Toh’s arrival, Ng said there are plans to further develop the IP, sports and gaming practice.

“We remain committed to investing in our intellectual property, sports and gaming practice and building on its position as one of the region’s leading IP practices,” he said.
