Aseem Chawla, a former partner at Amarchand Mangaldas, has set up his own firm in New Delhi, MPC Legal. The firm’s core areas of practice are tax, corporate and business advisory.
MPC Legal is associated with accounting firm Mohinder Puri & Company. The two entities are completely separate, with MPC Legal handling legal matters exclusively and Mohinder Puri & Company only taking on accounting assignments.
The firm currently has three partners – Chawla, Dipankar Vig and veteran practitioner NV Raman. It also has 10 associates and intends to increase the number to 15 or 20 by the end of this year.
