Allen & Overy appointed capital markets lawyer Tina LeDinh as the managing partner of the firm’s Vietnamese offices, succeeding Adam Moncrieff, and will be based in Ho Chi Minh City.

Moncrieff, who has been at the helm since 2012 as part of the firm’s periodic leadership rotation, will continue to focus on his practice in banking, project and structured finance and restructurings.

LeDinh, who joined the firm in 2013 and gained a partnership in 2019, has 15 years of experience, specialising in private and public cross-border M&A transactions and international capital markets, including listings by Vietnamese issuers in the US.

Her practice spans sectors including consumer and retail, manufacturing, fintech, education and insurance. In her new role, she will focus on strategically growing the Vietnam offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

At the same time, the firm also promoted partner Tran Duc to senior partner of Vietnam. Tran, who joined the firm in 2013, has more than 25 years of experience in corporate and banking work, with a focus on large-scale power projects and debt and equity capital market issuances. In his new role, Tran will work closely with partners to identify the firm’s growth strategy in Asean.
