Yang Xueyu

Introduction

Yang Xueyu is the managing partner of Hui Zhong Law Firm’s Beijing office. She has spent nearly 20 years in international commercial and investment treaty arbitration as well as cross-border litigation. She is one of the few practitioners in China that has rich investment treaty arbitration experience. She has advised both domestic and foreign clients in a broad range of sectors such as real estate, construction, IT, biotechnology, hi-tech and automobiles, in proceedings conducted at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, the Permanent Court of Arbitration, the International Chamber of Commerce, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, and different levels of domestic courts including the Supreme People’s Court.

Yang is licensed in China and the State of New York. She is an arbitrator of the HKIAC and the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration. She was recognised by China Business Law Journal as an “A-List Elite Lawyer” in 2022. Global Arbitration Review described Yang as “impressively responsive, smart and thorough”.
