Introduction
Wang Jun, of Starrise Law Firm, is a public welfare ambassador for combating telecom fraud, an author for the Peking University Law Information website and among the first batch of professionals for the Third-Party Supervision and Evaluation Mechanism for Compliance of Enterprises Involved in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
Wang was recognised as a Gold-Medal Lawyer in the field of criminal defense in 2021 by the Southern Institute of Finance and Economics Law Institute, and won the “Refreshing and Most Promising Award” at the 8th Guike Annual Conference in 2023. She has published multiple professional articles in core journals such as People’s Procuratorial Semimonthly and Chinese Lawyer. Wang is a dual-certified lawyer as a data protection officer (DPO) accredited by the International Information Science Examination Association and a data protection officer (DPO-PIPL) based on the Chinese Personal Information Protection Law.
Wang has successfully defended numerous cases. She has extensive practical experience in civil and criminal law interdisciplinary cases, particularly specialising in the defense of economic, cyber and data-related cases, and has unique experience in assessing electronic evidence.
Wang established the Starrise Corporate Compliance Legal Service Center, specialising in the field of corporate compliance, with focus on data compliance.
