In recognition of the rapid changes in law, regulation and the advancement of technology that are disrupting the legal industry, the Singapore Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA) gathered 12 experts to address around 150 members on how modern technology is changing the world and how the legal community will need to adapt to face the future.
The SCCA said it held the seminar because with new issues like using blockchain systems to contract, responding to cyber-threats, storing key data in the cloud or big data analytics, becoming digitally versed is essential to a lawyer’s survival and success.
The seminar was held at the new Zouk Club at Clarke Quay in Singapore on 11 October. The SCCA said that members commented that they liked the format of having individual speakers instead of panel discussions. They were also impressed with the mix of presenters who knew their topics and were passionate about them.
