Introduction

She is currently a partner at Jingtian and Gongcheng. Before joining Jingtian and Gongcheng, Sun worked as a lawyer at a prestigious law firm and as an in-house legal counsel at a leading multinational corporation. She also engaged in investment work in a domestic listed company. Sun has a solid theoretical foundation and vast practical operating experience in the areas of compliance, litigation, arbitration and M&A. Sun has provided legal services to many domestic and foreign leading enterprises in automotive, shipbuilding, military, communications, internet, engineering, energy, chemical, banking and other industries.

Sun has represented clients in important litigation and arbitration, including but not limited to the second trials of complex and challenging cases, retrials and enforcement cases. With the help of Sun and her team, hundreds of millions of yuan in losses of clients were recovered. Sun’s conscientious, responsible, rigorous and meticulous work ethic has been praised and trusted by her clients.

Sun has provided legal services in compliance, litigation, arbitration and M&A for multinationals, foreign-invested enterprises and large Chinese state-owned companies. In the field of export control and economic sanctions, the professional performance of Sun and her team has been highly praised and recognised by clients and peers. One case led by Sun, in which she was responsible for anti-monopoly law review issues in the merger between China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) and China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC) into China Shipbuilding Group Corporation (CSSC), was honoured as deal of the year 2020, with her named an A-List lawyer 2022 by China Business Law Journal.

Sun now serves as director of the China Pacific Society, deputy secretary-general of the China Pacific Society Industrial Development Investment and Finance Committee, and as a member of the editorial board of the Guidelines for the Evaluation of the Effectiveness of SMES Management Systems by the China Association of SMES. She is listed as an expert in the construction of compliance systems for foreign economic and trade enterprises in Zhejiang province, and is a co-operative masters instructor at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.
