Sim Sze Kuan, formerly the vice president legal counsel of an investment firm in Hong Kong, relocated to Singapore to join RHTLaw Asia as an of counsel in its private wealth practice.

“The firm’s core multidisciplinary capabilities and client-centric approach provide an ideal platform for me to leverage my deep understanding of the complexities in private wealth management to provide strategic guidance and help clients achieve their goals,” Sim said. “I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues to drive the success of RHTLaw Asia across the region.”

RHTLaw Asia managing partner Azman Jaafar said, “As we witness the growing trend of Asian capital migrating into Asian financial centres, Sze Kuan is well-positioned to leverage his experience for the benefit of our clients.”

With more than three decades of working in legal services, Sim has extensive experience in family office, investments and asset management, and will advise high net-worth individuals and families on establishing offices in Asia. He has an expertise in capital markets securities, structured investments, debt investments and private equity. He is also familiar with commercial real estate investments in major jurisdictions including Europe, North America and Asia.

Sim worked at KhattarWong in Hong Kong for eight years before leaving as a partner to start his own business. He has two decades of experience dealing with legal affairs in investment firms.

Apart from being a solicitor in Hong Kong, Sim is also a barrister in England and Wales, an advocate and solicitor in Singapore as well as an attorney in New York.
