Pinsent Masons has hired renewable energy partner William Stroll in Singapore from Herbert Smith Freehills, where he was a senior energy lawyer in Singapore for three-and-a-half years. Stroll was previously a corporate solicitor with Pinsent Masons in London, specialising in corporate finance, from 2006 to 2011.
An expert in renewable energy transactions in Southeast Asia, Stroll advises developers, investment funds, independent power producers, and oil and gas majors across a wide range of disciplines.
Global head of energy at Pinsent Masons, UK-based Melanie Grimmitt said Asia was a key market for renewable energy investment as the region’s energy consumption was expected to more than double by 2040.
