Qiao Zhaoshu

Introduction

Qiao Zhaoshu has been deeply engaged in the field of capital markets for over a decade, having successfully organised and completed numerous influential projects in the private equity fund sector. She has long served well-known state and central enterprises, high-tech enterprises and large financial institutions. In terms of professional research, Qiao was invited to contribute to the book Aggregation of Trial Views in Financial Leasing Cases, published by the China Legal Publishing House. She co-wrote Insights Into National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ), Unscrambling PE in China, Limited Partnership in PE in China and other professional articles in the private equity industry, as well as writing and publishing a number of research articles related to private equity, capital markets, M&A and restructuring. Qiao has also led a team in developing a legal service product line and service manuals for common law centres, in the optimisation of state-owned enterprise asset structures, establishing a new product and service system, and expanding service product lines in multiple industries. She is an advocate for standardising legal services and a promoter of public welfare legal services, providing long-term free legal services to foundations and other public welfare organisations. In 2022, Qiao created the official PE WeChat account and simultaneously launched a video channel. The WeChat account features four sections: “Private Equity Reports”, “Private Equity Trends”, “Private Equity Research” and

“Private Equity Training”, continuously sharing high-quality content, publishing a large number of in-depth original articles and quarterly private equity industry legal observation reports, winning wide acclaim and attention in the private equity industry. Qiao has won a number of industry awards, including “Outstanding Lawyer” in Chaoyang District, Beijing from 2015 to 2018. She was also honoured with the “Deals of the Year” 2020 award by China Business Law Journal, and the IFLR1000 Asia-Pacific Award in 2022. From 2021 to 2023, Qiao has been selected as one of “The A-List: China’s Elite Lawyers by CBLJ. In 2023, she was named one of the Top 15 Innovative Lawyers in the Legalband Power List. In terms of social activities, Qiao has held various positions, including being a member of the first council of the Legal Culture Association of the China Law Society, a registered expert for debt investment plans for the Insurance Asset Management Association of China, a member of the legal expert database of the China Women’s Development Foundation, and various positions within the Chaoyang Lawyers Association in Beijing.
