MinterEllison advised Australian Private Equity firm Quadrant Private Equity on the formation of its 10th fund, valued at A$400million, which closed just five weeks after the capital raising was launched.
“The Quadrant Growth Fund was in high demand and closed quickly,” said Nathan Cahill, deals partner at MinterEllison.
“It’s additionally significant since it represents the debut of Quadrant’s new strategy where the focus is on growth investment opportunities.”
Cahill said the Quadrant Growth Fund had attracted significant interest from high-profile domestic and offshore investors, with the best following investors of any new Australian fund.
“Quadrant’s strong track record helped it reach its target quickly,” he said. “The firm’s role in the Quadrant Growth Fund included advising on fund formation and structuring, and leading investor negotiations.”
MinterEllison has advised Quadrant on the formation of many of its previous funds, including, in 2017, Quadrant Private Equity Fund 6, a A$1.15 billion fund.
