Introduction

Meng has more than 17 years of internal and external legal service experience. She previously worked at a well-known law firm, served as the chief counsel of a Fortune 500 multinational company and a global unicorn company, and as the general counsel, director of government relations affairs and data protection officer of a domestic AI unicorn company.

She ranked in the Legal 500 leading lawyers in data protection, technology, media and telecommunications, fintech, regulation and compliance; Chambers Greater China Region recommended lawyer in data privacy protection and TMT; Legalband recommended lawyer in cybersecurity and data compliance, consumer and retail, automotive and new energy, digital economy, etc.; ALB China’s Top 15 Cybersecurity and Data Protection Lawyers; and as an Asialaw and a Benchmark Litigation “star” in the areas of government and regulation.

She translated data protection laws of the US, Europe, India, Brazil, Russia and other countries, authored hundreds of professional articles and commentaries in major journals and public magazines over a long period of time, co-edited a number of national/industry standards, co-edited or independently compiled a number of reports, and co-authored the practitioner’s guide book, Data Compliance – Introduction, Practice and Advancement.
